Scotiabank, the third-largest Canadian bank and a leading bank in the Americas, was working through a digital transformation with Pegasystems and Pega Platform across seven lines of business. As it expanded Pega applications internationally, Scotiabank faced slower-than-expected adoption and limited reuse because reusable components were not fully aligned to global business needs.
Pegasystems helped Scotiabank address this by forming a global business process steering committee, a Global CIO Forum, and a Pega design authority to align processes, architecture, and governance. With Pegasystems’ solution, Scotiabank achieved close to 70% reuse in its contact center solution across three countries, built a library of accessible UI components, and standardized 150 case types across the bank.
