A global medical device manufacturer that produces diagnostic imaging equipment faced fragmented, manual processes for managing healthcare provider (HCP) engagements—consulting, research, grants, events and more—across sales, marketing and compliance. Using Pega’s platform, Life Sciences Foundation and Aggregate Spend Application, the company built a connected HCP engagement layer that captures engagement plans, budgets, agreements, events and recipient data, governs spend and operational rules, and integrates disparate systems. Deployed in nine months and in production for 5+ years (now on Pega Cloud), the solution supports ~2,000 salespeople, ~250,000 requests/year, eliminated 72,000 hours of manual work, enabled regulatory transparency and a holistic view of activity, and delivered about $4.3M in annual savings.
