ME, an Australian bank founded in 1994, set out to become the country’s best digital bank by simplifying and digitizing all banking products. To deliver a superior customer experience it launched a five-year transformation to eliminate costly operations and legacy systems and enable end-to-end digital processing.
Using Pega, ME implemented eight new applications for straight-through processing and automated decisioning, consolidating hundreds of micro-applications into a single platform. The result: deposit cycle times fell from five days to five minutes, home-loan approvals from three days to 30 minutes, and the bank saved millions when rolling out new products.
