GE Healthcare needed to replace deeply siloed product processes—from design to end-of-life—to keep pace with changing global medical device regulations. The company aimed to create a Product Controllership Leadership (PCL) application to standardize data and approvals, provide clearer case ownership and escalation, and improve oversight across supply chain, engineering, regulatory and commercial functions.

Using the Pega Platform’s dynamic case management, GEHC imported legacy data, standardized tasks and vocabulary, and integrated external systems into unified workflows. The PCL app delivered end-to-end lifecycle visibility, real-time analytics, simplified change orchestration, faster defect identification and resolution, and an intuitive UI that increased accountability and reduced training needs.
