Electronics Manufacturer, a Global 200 company sourcing millions of parts from more than 20,000 suppliers, needed a better way to manage responsible sourcing while maintaining quality. Its legacy procurement process was too complex and fragile to scale, slowing sourcing, increasing cost and risk, and making it difficult to ensure parts were ethically and environmentally sourced. Pegasystems implemented the Risk and Responsible Sourcing Application on the Pega Platform to streamline supplier assessments and sourcing surveys, simplify compliance tracking, and support different industry, geography, and commodity requirements through a low-code, layered approach. The results included more than 9,000 supplier surveys completed each year, over 2,400 social and environmental risk assessments and 100 audits, along with reduced Cost of Poor Quality and improved customer confidence.
