Arbetsförmedlingen, Sweden’s Public Employment Service, faced rising demand, tighter regulations, fraud risk, and the disruption of the pandemic, all while coping with reduced caseworker headcount and a push to do more through self-service. To respond, the agency turned to Pegasystems and the Pega Platform to modernize and streamline how it served job seekers and employers.

Pegasystems helped Arbetsförmedlingen build an adaptive, automated case-management foundation with Pega Blueprint and the Pega Platform. The result was nine applications launched, 50% of all cases flowing through Pega, 1,500 meetings saved, and 10% of constituents enabled for self-service within a week; overall, Pega Blueprint drove development cycles that were 12X faster, helping the agency handle 3M cases annually with greater efficiency.
