Webkul is a 10‑year‑old, self‑bootstrapped Indian software company that builds ecommerce marketplaces, omni‑ and multi‑channel connectors, POS apps and native mobile builders. Rapid growth and a legacy Magento 2.0 installation limited product upgrades, so Webkul needed a payments partner with local expertise that could support its diverse product portfolio and accelerate new commerce capabilities.

PayPal India built a JavaScript SDK plugin for Webkul’s Magento version and helped integrate Smart Payment Buttons, in‑context PayPal Checkout and the PayPal Commerce Platform for multi‑seller purchases and partner fees. The integration improved conversion by 19 percentage points (64% to 83%), increased incremental sales by 40%, and made Webkul the first partner to go live with Multiple Seller Payments on the platform.
