CP Performance is a U.S. marine-parts supplier that evolved from a walk-up retail shop into a fast-turn manufacturer and e-commerce leader, selling parts online and by phone for 80% of its business. The company needed a dependable, reasonably priced payment processor and a way to make it easier for customers to buy often costly replacement parts.
By adding PayPal and PayPal Credit and optimizing the online shopping experience with PayPal’s guidance, CP Performance made big-ticket purchases more accessible. In one year (April 2014–April 2015) this led to a 19% increase in total sales and a 23% rise in transactions over $99, while simplifying checkout for customers.
