Metropolitan Utilities District, a large public gas utility, needed to offer convenient payment options to its cash-preferred customers after closing many of its physical offices. This solution drove a 600% growth in Walmart Bill Pay transactions in the first five months and a 35% increase in digital wallet usage in 2023. The Paymentus solution also led to a threefold increase in AutoPay adoption, significantly expanding M.U.D.'s collections footprint while reducing its cost to serve.
