Sobeys, the Canadian grocery retailer, partnered with Paradox to modernize an outdated recruiting process and build a new virtual events environment. Paradox implemented “Sam,” a conversational AI assistant that automates event registration, screening, and scheduling, while engaging candidates 24/7. This helped Sobeys save hiring managers hours of administrative work and reach more candidates outside normal business hours. The impact was significant: interview no-shows dropped by 80%, and time to hire was reduced to just 2 days.
