General Motors Hires Top Talent through Interview Scheduling Automation

General Motors, a global automaker repositioning itself as a technology company to drive its all‑electric future, faced major talent acquisition challenges: 1–2 million annual applications, slow interview scheduling (5–7 days), and uneven hiring manager buy‑in for automation. To speed hiring and improve candidate experience, General Motors partnered with Paradox to deploy interview scheduling automation and a conversational AI assistant named EV‑e.

Paradox integrated EV‑e with GM’s Workday system to automate scheduling and candidate communications across SMS, email, and WhatsApp, handling nearly 50,000 interviews annually. As a result, average time‑to‑schedule fell from about 5 days to 29 minutes, GM saved more than $2,000,000 in direct costs within the first year, recruitment coordinator roles were upgraded for more strategic work, and Paradox and GM are expanding EV‑e’s career‑site and screening capabilities.
