Compass Group, a global provider of food and support services that hires more than 160,000 hourly workers annually, faced high candidate drop-off and slow, manual hiring workflows: a lean TA team of 20 recruiters was supporting up to 1,000 open requisitions at a time, and legacy web forms took more than nine minutes to complete—especially painful on mobile. To address these challenges, Compass Group partnered with Paradox and deployed Paradox’s AI assistant, Olivia, to modernize its candidate experience.
Paradox’s Olivia was layered onto Compass Group’s career site and integrated with the company’s ATS (SAP SuccessFactors) to automate chat-based applications, screening, Traitify assessments, interview scheduling, reminders and on-demand video interviews. The Paradox solution cut application time to under three minutes (end‑to‑end job search to scheduled interview in as little as six minutes), increased chat-to-interview conversions by 600%, raised application completion to 85%, and delivered 24/7 engagement (33% of interactions after hours), while freeing recruiters to act as talent advisors.
