Trend Micro, a global leader in cloud and Internet security, wanted to raise awareness of its expertise by driving more traffic to selected articles on security vulnerabilities and best practices. The goal was to enhance its profile as an Internet security specialist and, ultimately, increase revenue by attracting more engaged readers and potential customers.
To achieve this, Trend Micro ran a content-discovery campaign with Outbrain Amplify, using a flexible CPC model to reach readers via around 100 premium publishers in Germany and later expanded to France and the UK, also promoting positive product tests in independent publications. Users from Outbrain showed higher engagement and longer time on page, leading to a substantial increase in online revenue from new and existing customers with comparatively little financial investment.
