Royal Canin, a premium pet food brand that collaborates with scientists and veterinarians, needed to strengthen brand awareness and consideration outside of search and social channels across Germany, Italy and the UK. Working with MediaCom, the challenge was to reach premium, pet-loving audiences on the open web with more impactful, viewable formats.
The brand ran Outbrain’s Native Awareness+ suite—Native Display and Native Video—in large-format, in-article placements that mirrored social creative and optimized for quality site visits (measured by a minimum 60‑second dwell). The campaign was more efficient than social, yielding a 33% lower cost per quality site visit, a 0.53% CTR for Native Display and a 55% VTR for Native Video.
