How Care by Volvo is Generating Awareness for its New Subscription Model with Outbrain

Care by Volvo, Volvo’s all-inclusive car subscription service, needed to quickly build awareness and drive conversions after its October 2018 launch. Working with agency SaphirSolution, the brand sought to educate potential customers about the subscription’s benefits (insurance, maintenance, flexibility) and convert interest into sign-ups.

They ran a two-phase campaign on Outbrain using Run-of-Network ads, High Impact placements, Click-to-Watch video, and advanced targeting—creating engagement-based audience segments for retargeting and Lookalike Audiences for expansion. In six months the campaign drove 1.8 million unique site visits and achieved conversion rates four times higher than standard campaigns with both retargeting and lookalikes, while also producing a cross-channel “halo effect” that boosted conversions elsewhere.
