Honda Maximizes Conversions for Showroom Campaign using Outbrain’s Conversion Bid Strategy

Honda turned to digital after the 2021 Brussels Motor Show closed due to the pandemic, directing car shoppers to a virtual showroom to promote its new models. Working with Dentsu Belgium, Honda partnered with Outbrain to run a native ad campaign aimed at driving brochure downloads, dealer searches and test-drive requests by finding highly qualified audiences across the open web.

Honda used Outbrain’s Fully Automatic Conversion Bid Strategy to optimize bids, timing and creatives within its budget, plus targeted placements for the most interested audiences. The campaign delivered strong performance: 9.18% CTR (+273% vs. other partners), +11% conversion rate vs. competitor average, and 32% lower CPC vs. social, while outperforming other channels on cost-per-lead.
