Dentolo achieves better CPL than Social and Search with Outbrain’s Conversion Bid Strategy

Berlin-based start-up dentolo, which offers a dental insurance solution connecting customers with a network of dental professionals, needed to scale online lead generation while diversifying its media mix and reducing reliance on major walled gardens. The company sought performance-driven channels to lower cost per lead (CPL) and tested Outbrain’s Conversion Bid Strategy as part of that effort.

Working with native agency Joinative, dentolo used Outbrain’s fully automatic Conversion Bid Strategy and OB Code for fast A/B testing and automated creative optimization. Over six months Outbrain delivered a 33% lower CPL than social channels (and at times 39% lower than paid search) while generating about 4,000 leads per month, demonstrating strong scalability and improved campaign efficiency.
