Blinkist is a mobile app that condenses nonfiction books into 15-minute reads or listens and wanted to grow awareness, app downloads and subscriptions by reaching qualified users beyond traditional channels. The challenge was to drive efficient app installs and subscription conversions while leveraging Blinkist’s content-focused marketing approach.
Blinkist partnered with Outbrain’s Native Discovery using Multiple Conversion Optimization and server-to-server app download tracking (Adjust) to target and optimize for downloads and subscriptions. The campaign delivered up to 50,000 downloads per month (25x growth since month one), a 50% higher time-on-site versus Search, over 50% lower CPC versus Social, and a 20% conversion rate on users clicking the App Store link, while remaining profitable and improving view-attribution.
