A Orlo Case Study
Bristol City Council worked with Orlo to address the challenge of reducing smoking rates, which were above the national average and cost the council an estimated £427 million annually. The council needed a targeted campaign to reach adult smokers, particularly those in the city's most deprived areas.
Using Orlo, the council implemented a hyperlocal social media strategy with geo-targeted ads that featured local landmarks. This solution drove over 4,000 clicks to the sign-up website and resulted in 2,810 people registering for the "Swap to Stop" program. The campaign reached 244% of the estimated adult smoking population, and sign-ups from social media ads had a high conversion rate of 24.6%.
