VetRxDirect, a trusted online pharmacy for prescription medications and premium pet supplements, wanted to grow by building recurring customer relationships and positioning itself as an innovative, customer-centric brand in a crowded marketplace. To achieve this, VetRxDirect partnered with Ordergroove to launch a subscription program using Ordergroove’s auto-ship/auto-replenishment platform.
Ordergroove implemented an easy Auto-Delivery signup, customizable delivery schedules, email reminders, the ability to add one-time purchases to subscription orders, and promotional discounts. The program drove rapid results: 3,000 active subscription customers in the first year, recurring orders accounting for 20% of monthly revenue, and 34% of customers buying additional one-off items; compound monthly recurring revenue and subscriber revenue increased, enabling VetRxDirect to reinvest in marketing and product development.
