After struggling with its previous subscription setup and needing a better fit for its 2021 Shopify migration and scaling needs, the company turned to Ordergroove for subscription technology.
With Ordergroove, Stumptown launched flexible subscription experiences including curated rotating coffee subscriptions alongside its standard subscribe-and-save offering. The result was stronger differentiation, better retention, and more predictable inventory planning: 66% of eCommerce revenue now comes from subscriptions, recurring revenue is up 15% year over year, and one-third of subscribers are in curated subscriptions that deliver 6–7% better retention through the third recurring order.
