Vodafone Fiji speeds decision-making with Oracle Cloud

Vodafone Fiji, the Pacific island nation’s leading mobile communications provider, needed a better way to manage rapidly growing data after multiple acquisitions across the region. Its database teams were spending too much time generating reports from disconnected systems, making it hard to keep up with business demands and support faster decision-making. Oracle Autonomous Database and Oracle Analytics were used to address this challenge.

Oracle consolidated Vodafone Fiji’s data on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, simplifying reporting and analytics while automating much of the database management work. With Oracle, the company improved operational reporting performance sixfold, processing 600 million records per day and about 50 TB of data per month, while reducing processing time and helping the business go to market faster.
