Telefónica Expands Cloud Portfolio with Oracle Cloud

Telefónica, a global telecommunications leader with operations across Europe and Latin America, launched its Living Cloud roadmap to drive digital transformation for large Spanish companies. Facing growing demand from B2B customers for a flexible, easy-to-deploy cloud platform to run Oracle solutions, Telefónica needed a scalable offering that could handle seasonality and reduce the complexity of outsourced IT services.

With support from Oracle Consulting, Telefónica implemented Oracle Private Cloud Appliance in six months, expanding its cloud portfolio and enabling a high-performance, scalable PaaS for customers. The solution improved performance and uptime, shortened time to market, reduced total cost of ownership by eliminating hardware and maintenance, and opened new B2B business opportunities by allowing clients to scale capacity up or down as needed.
