Transavia Brings Low-Cost Air Travel to Europe

Transavia is a Dutch low-cost airline founded in 1965 that has grown to serve 250 destinations across Europe. Rapid expansion exposed limitations in its legacy IT landscape — an AS/400 system, Infor in France and a 30‑year‑old bespoke cost system — which could not scale or support multi‑currency, multi‑subsidiary operations.

Transavia implemented NetSuite OneWorld with Capgemini to consolidate systems into a single cloud ERP. The rollout automated 21,000 previously hand‑copied invoices, introduced more structure and efficiency, reduced overhead, and freed finance staff to focus on analysis rather than manual processing.
