TopDown Consulting, a San Francisco–based professional services firm with 50–99 employees and $5M–$20M in revenue, was running a lean operation that needed to scale quickly. Its prior Deltek ERP and Changepoint PSA systems were not integrated, forcing time-consuming workarounds, manual and paper-based processes, and bottlenecks that threatened its ability to handle growing transaction volume.

TopDown deployed NetSuite ERP and NetSuite OpenAir (implemented by NetSuite Professional Services) to automate workflows and provide real-time, on-demand data. Automated data flows reduced manual entry and sped up revenue forecasting, time and expense approvals, and sales activities via mobile and embedded CRM features—allowing the firm to grow without adding headcount. Subsequent additions—OpenAir PSA, NetSuite Payroll, and an AP integration with MineralTree—further extended project management and financial automation.
