A Oracle NetSuite Case Study
The Greater Boston Food Bank, which provides food to 142,000 people each month and distributed 61 million pounds of food through 550 agencies last year, needed to scale operations to meet rising demand across Eastern Massachusetts. Its legacy financials and CRM and off-the-shelf food-bank software couldn’t keep up, and the organization lacked an ecommerce solution that would properly support agency ordering and complex business rules.
Working with Myers-Holum, GBFB implemented NetSuite ERP and NetSuite SuiteCommerce Advanced to centralize inventory, orders and customer data and enable mobile access. The new system powers an enhanced ecommerce site that enforces agency-specific product rules, shows credit limits and order history, and lets agencies schedule pickups; internally, staff can build dashboards and reports, yielding more accurate financials, a single customer record, and a more scalable, productive operation.
