A Oracle NetSuite Case Study
Rise Against Hunger is a Raleigh‑based nonprofit founded in 1998 that has distributed over 360 million meals across 74 countries with a mission to end hunger by 2030. Rapid growth stretched its finance team and legacy tools (QuickBooks, Excel), creating a need for better visibility, budgeting and forecasting to keep operations lean and direct more resources to programs.
With a donation from Oracle NetSuite Social Impact, Rise Against Hunger implemented NetSuite (financials, planning, fixed assets), replacing disparate systems and chosen over Intacct. The nonprofit cut payment approvals from 8 days to 24 hours, saved 25 hours a month on reporting, shortened its monthly close from 34 to 26 days, and handled a 26% revenue increase and 2x transactions since 2015; next steps include NetSuite inventory to streamline meal management across ~45 sites and further boost transparency and donations.
