Pop Culture Classroom Brings Comic Con to School—and Vice Versa

Pop Culture Classroom is a Denver‑based nonprofit (annual revenue $3.2M, 11 employees) that started Denver Comic Con as a fundraiser in 2012. By 2018 the convention had grown into a major annual event attracting thousands of attendees and supporting programming in 90 schools, creating onsite payment‑approval bottlenecks and outgrowing its QuickBooks setup.

An Oracle NetSuite Social Impact software donation let the organization replace QuickBooks and bring accounting in‑house. NetSuite provided greater visibility and automation across events and funding sources, freeing staff and volunteers to focus on literacy programs and giving the nonprofit a scalable platform to manage future programs and expansion.
