New Teacher Center, a Santa Cruz–based nonprofit that develops new teachers, school leaders and systems, faced unreliable accounting data in its legacy opentaps system, limited real-time visibility into revenues and expenses, and high infrastructure and administrative costs that diverted resources from its mission.
NTC implemented NetSuite Financials, Inventory Management and CRM (replacing opentaps and Salesforce) with support from Oracle NetSuite Social Impact and Suite Pro Bono, and integrated Avalara, Concur, Adaptive Planning and Merchant e-Solutions. The change delivered faster, consolidated donor and financial data, on-demand access across regional offices, and measurable savings—about $110,000 annually—while inventory reconciliation dropped from roughly four days to a few hours and reporting, forecasting and scalability were greatly improved.
