NetSuite Raises the Bar for Middle Eastern Construction Machinery Rental Business

Al Faris Group, a Dubai-based heavy-equipment rental provider servicing major Middle Eastern projects (including the Burj Khalifa, Dubai Metro and Dubai International Airport), was managing over 3,000 machines valued at about $400M and roughly 3,200 staff across thousands of jobs. Legacy systems and Excel-based processes made timesheets, billing, quotations, licensing and intercompany financial consolidation slow and error-prone.

In 2014 the company implemented NetSuite SRP and OneWorld with local partner KPI and developed a bespoke rental app and customized interface. The solution automated bookings and billing, enabled a three-person team to process 400–500 timesheets a day, cut quotation times from ~25 minutes to 2–3 minutes, reduced site-inspection paperwork to under an hour, and shortened intercompany consolidation from weeks or months to a few days—delivering real-time visibility and much better resource utilization.
