Case Study: Wharton Electronics achieves 20% sales growth and international export expansion with Oracle NetSuite

A Oracle NetSuite Case Study

Preview of the Wharton Electronics Case Study

Growing UK Clock Manufacturer Keeps Up with the Times

Wharton Electronics is a family-run UK manufacturer of bespoke precision time and digital clocks (est. 1973) supplying clients like Heathrow Airport, Network Rail and the US Pentagon across 150 countries. With under 20 employees but thousands of components and growing international demand, the business struggled to manage sales, manufacturing and export compliance on its legacy systems and needed to automate processes to support expansion.

Wharton implemented NetSuite ERP with implementation partner BrightBridge, replacing Sage, which enabled automated reporting, inventory and invoicing, easier proof of component origin and better management of 43 global agents. The change opened new export markets, helped win major contracts (including a global car manufacturer in South Korea), delivered a 20% year‑on‑year sales increase, immediate visibility of a £4m sales pipeline and a rapid ROI.
