A Oracle NetSuite Case Study
glassybaby is a Seattle-based maker and retailer of hand-blown votive candle holders founded by Lee Rhodes, producing about 175,000 pieces a year in more than 400 colors and selling through four stores, ecommerce and over 50 wholesale partners. Rapid growth exposed limits of QuickBooks and a mix of POS systems, leading to manual data entry, delayed demand visibility and difficulty aligning manufacturing with seasonal spikes.
To fix this, glassybaby moved to NetSuite’s cloud suite — implementing NetSuite POS, Light Manufacturing, Financials and planning SuiteCommerce — via a phased self-implementation to replace disparate systems. The unified platform delivered real-time sales, inventory and customer data, streamlined B2C and B2B operations, improved production planning for holiday demand, and supported growth to $7M in 2012 while enabling future ecommerce integration.
