Hourglass, a Venice, California luxury cruelty‑free cosmetics brand founded in 2004 and acquired by Unilever in 2017, operates with enterprise‑level complexity despite just 280 employees. Legacy Sage systems could not support its international growth — failing to automate manufacturing, manage multi‑subsidiary and multi‑currency financials, consolidate intercompany transactions, or handle drop‑shipping needs.

Hourglass implemented NetSuite OneWorld (with Work Orders & Assemblies) through GSI and a custom chart of accounts to automate intercompany processes and improve visibility into landed costs and customer‑tagged expenses. The new system saved hundreds of hours, supported a doubling of the business and a tripling of SKUs with flat supply‑chain headcount, and enabled efficient multi‑country expansion and remote store management.
