Dylan’s Candy Bar is a New York–based retail “retail-tainment” brand that blends candy with art, fashion and pop culture. Rapid expansion exposed limitations in its on‑premise legacy systems (Sage MAS 90, WinRetail and a custom WMS), leaving the company without a single source of timely data, limited visibility into key metrics and constrained ability to scale and gain customer insights.
Dylan’s implemented NetSuite (ERP, CRM, order management, inventory, work orders) with SPS Commerce EDI and NetSuite Professional Services, using custom fields to better track inventory and assemblies. Since going live in 2014 the company grew from four to 15 stores, increased order volumes 32%, cut ecommerce processing from six to two hours daily, doubled its customer database in three months, reduced inventory discrepancies 65% and lowered stockouts to under 5%.
