Slow data entry, cumbersome financial reporting, and the need for China-specific controls made the hosted Sage and a potential on‑premise Lawson expansion impractical, while the U.S. parent required timely visibility into subsidiary performance.

NBTY replaced Sage with NetSuite OneWorld across four offices to handle ERP/financials, supply chain, sales and distribution, leveraging multilingual support and China currency/VAT features. The rollout gave real-time inventory and performance visibility (with monthly roll-ups to HQ), empowered employees and 300 distributors with self-service, streamlined warehousing for millions in imported product across 200 SKUs, and avoided the cost of several full‑time accounting/IT roles.
