Bladnoch Whisks Its Distillery Business Into the Future

Bladnoch Distillery is Scotland’s oldest independent single malt whisky maker (203 years) with headquarters in Australia and a distillery in Southwest Scotland. After a 2015 acquisition and a 2017 restart focused on premium whiskies, the company needed to modernize business systems—fixing inventory and financial reporting, enabling remote work across the U.K. and Australia—and rapidly adapt to COVID-19 retail shutdowns by reaching customers directly.

Bladnoch migrated from Sage X3 to NetSuite OneWorld to streamline inventory, financials and multi-currency operations, used custom NetSuite reports to plan an ecommerce launch, and stood up a site in under a month. The new setup supported year‑over‑year growth of 85% in 2020 and delivered richer customer, finance and supply-chain insights to sustain global expansion and agility.
