Flybe, Europe’s largest independent regional airline, wanted to boost online bookings and stay competitive with car and rail travel. Facing the challenge of optimizing digital channels and improving the online customer experience, the airline set out to increase conversion rates across its desktop booking funnel.
Using Oracle Maxymiser for testing and optimization, Flybe ran urgency-focused experiments on seat-availability messaging (static and flyout presentations at 4- and 3-seat thresholds). The winning urgency variant lifted scheduled UK flight bookings by 6.9%, increased passenger revenue per seat, and generated £8.5 million in annualized incremental revenue.
