Case Study: Hyster-Yale achieves unified global quoting and increased sales with Oracle CPQ

Hyster-Yale lifts sales with Oracle Cloud

Hyster-Yale, the lift‑truck manufacturer, faced fragmented quoting and ordering systems after a series of acquisitions—an aging online configurator, spreadsheet order forms and home‑grown tools—that left it with limited visibility into manufacturing across 12 countries and no single way to configure 700 truck models with hundreds of thousands of part combinations. To solve this, Hyster‑Yale chose Oracle CPQ (part of the Oracle Cloud CX suite) to provide one global configure‑price‑quote platform for its dealers and sales teams.

Oracle CPQ standardized configuration workflows, gave dealers instant visibility into pricing, specs and availability, and automated rules‑based approvals so discounts no longer took weeks to authorize. Since going live in early 2017, Hyster‑Yale has unified four sales processes globally, quoted hundreds of thousands of product configurations, processed more than 100,000 orders and built and shipped over 50,000 trucks—improving forecasting, production planning and dealer conversion of quotes into sales.
