A US-based, NASDAQ-listed provider of financial technology generating billions in revenue and serving financial services firms across areas like mobile banking, payments and analytics faced a major sales compensation problem: its highly decentralized sales organization had ten groups each using different compensation plans and numerous exceptions. That fragmentation prevented the company from aggregating spend, producing unified compliance reports, or comparing rep performance across groups.

Optymyze consolidated the ten disparate plans into a centralized, automated compensation platform that preserved each group's required detail and complexity while giving managers the ability to change rules (dates, percentages, etc.) and have payouts auto-calculated. Implemented in about six months and supporting payroll for 600 reps in a single phased go-live, the solution delivered greater consistency, visibility and accuracy, allowed in-house management, and revealed the true impact of plan deviations across the organization.
