Toppers Pizza dish up tasty customer experiences

Toppers Pizza, a fast-growing U.S. chain with nearly 80 stores across 15 states and more than half of orders placed online, wanted to modernize its customer experience and commerce operations. The company set out to deploy a cloud-based POS, a commerce-enabled website, reduce technical debt, empower marketing, and drive revenue and engagement across digital and in-store channels.

Working with Optimizely partner Rightpoint, Toppers built an integrated commerce platform and custom POS on the Optimizely Digital Experience Platform, hosted in Microsoft Azure. The solution delivered real-time data and centralized promotion/pricing controls, a seamless online-to-offline ordering journey, store-level order-time insights and GPS routing for deliveries — improving store efficiency, driver routing and overall customer experience.
