Mayer, a top-ten U.S. electrical distributor founded in 1930 with over 65 locations, needed to modernize its ecommerce experience. Their legacy platform delivered under 1% adoption, an outdated interface, poor product data and limited personalization, leaving the online experience disconnected from the high-touch, service-driven brand customers know offline.

Mayer replatformed to Optimizely B2B Commerce Cloud with implementation partner Xngage, integrating JD Edwards ERP and product data from IDEA/DDS and rebuilding the site (launched July 2020). The new site gives Mayer greater design control, improved search and personalization, a product catalog of 65,000+ SKUs with rich assets, stronger self-service for orders and invoices, higher adoption and sales, and uniform omnichannel customer experiences.
