The Institute for Supply Management (ISM) is a 100‑year‑old nonprofit and the largest professional supply management organization, serving more than 50,000 members worldwide and producing influential research like the ISM Report On Business®. Despite its legacy and thought leadership, ISM’s previous website didn’t reflect its mission or meet modern member needs; the organization needed a member‑first, scalable digital platform to modernize its tech stack, improve content reach, and personalize member experiences.
ISM partnered with Brightfind to deploy Optimizely Content Cloud (with plans to expand Commerce Cloud), adding marketing automation, personalization, analytics and decentralized content management. The new platform reduced reliance on print, expanded content reach, simplified site management, and delivered “technology peace of mind” with mobile‑friendly, secure infrastructure—improving engagement and member experience while supporting future digital growth.
