How Rusta gets 2.7 million visitors per month across Europe

Rusta is Sweden’s leading low-price retailer expanding into Finland, Norway and Germany, serving 2.7 million website visitors per month (one third from outside Sweden) and running more than 100 promotions weekly for a 3.7 million–member loyalty club. The challenge was to scale a credible, inspirational digital experience that conveys product quality and lifestyle, supports heavy mobile and desktop use, and enables fast, day‑to‑day merchandising without in‑house web development.

Rusta partnered with Nexer and used Optimizely Content Cloud to relaunch a responsive site with improved interaction design, richer interior imagery, and integrations with Voyado (loyalty), inRiver (PIM) and warehouse systems. The new platform streamlined operations, lifted the desktop inspiration experience, supported rapid promotional updates, and helped sustain cross‑border growth while maintaining high traffic and engagement across markets.
