OnPoint Energy, a Houston-based Retail Electricity Provider, needed to launch quickly in the complex, highly regulated Texas energy market while building trust, improving the customer journey, and reducing rampant enrollment fraud. The company turned to Optimizely, using Optimizely Commerce and other platform capabilities to support digital growth, order management, and customer data integration.

Optimizely implemented Customized Commerce and the Optimizely Data Platform to unify data, enable API integrations, improve fraud prevention, and strengthen marketing and support workflows. The results were strong: OnPoint exceeded Year-1 revenue targets by about 35%, cut fraudulent enrollments from 90% at launch to practically zero within six months, and reduced customer acquisition cost to around 50% of projections after 180 days.
