Grantham, Mayo, Van Otterloo & Co. LLC (GMO), a Boston-based asset management firm, needed a platform and partner to take a three-part rebrand from design to implementation without missing a beat. The main challenge was selecting and implementing the right technology to support GMO’s goals of prioritizing thought leadership, building brand awareness, and improving operational efficiency.

Verndale was chosen as development partner to validate creative deliverables, fill gaps for an Optimizely implementation, and execute a phased launch beginning with Growth Strategy, Experience Design, and a Measurement Planning Workshop. The custom technology enablement plus Optimizely CMS drove strong engagement: over 150,000 targeted emails sent with a ~45% open rate and ~14% CTR, site visitors view nearly four pages per session, and conversions run about 36%.
