ElectraNet, a transmission network operator in Australia, needed a publicly accessible portal to show real-time performance of its new 30 MW battery to members of the public, researchers, and industry. The business lacked the internal resources to build the dashboard within a tight timeframe, and the portal also had to present data in a user-friendly way while meeting strict security, compliance and knowledge-sharing requirements tied to project funding.

ElectraNet partnered with Empired and used Optimizely Content Cloud and Microsoft Azure to connect the battery’s SCADA system to a live dashboard that refreshes every four seconds. The agile, multidisciplinary team delivered a branded, secure interface with drill-down metrics, comparison tools, two years of historical data and a knowledge-sharing tab—providing stakeholder visibility, meeting funding conditions, and protecting operational networks.
