Gardener's Supply Company, an employee-owned retailer of eco-friendly gardening products, needed to modernize its business and ecommerce presence to support growth. Facing an outdated ERP (AX 2009), fragmented integrations, and a site that couldn't meet customer expectations, GSC sought a scalable, data-driven digital experience to increase online traffic, attract and retain customers, and support future personalization.
Working with Optimizely Commerce Cloud and partner Thinkmax, GSC upgraded to AX 2012 R3, implemented connectors and solution architecture, and optimized performance and governance with minimal disruption ahead of the seasonal catalog. The new site (launched March 5, 2021) drove record traffic and sales—generating roughly two months' typical revenue within the first two weeks, approaching 1,000 orders and delivering a high-performance foundation for continued data-driven growth.
