Facing a dated on‑prem eCommerce storefront that didn’t meet customer expectations, the company formed a cross‑functional selection team to define requirements—real‑time pricing and inventory, deep Infor A+ ERP integration, account and product customization, list/repeat‑order functionality, vendor‑managed inventory and a mobile experience.
Cogent selected Optimizely B2B Commerce and launched an integrated storefront and mobile app with list management, sales‑rep account impersonation and self‑service invoice/order tracking. The new platform streamlined ordering, freed sales reps to be more consultative, increased average order sizes and share of wallet, and more than doubled online sales—from about 6% to nearly 20% since the July 2018 implementation.
