Voltage Database Activity Monitoring drastically slashes archive retrieval time while cutting TCO by 50%

Vodafone Türkiye needed a better database activity monitoring solution after launching new digital payments and finance divisions, which brought stricter privacy and compliance requirements. Its existing tool was slow to retrieve archived logs, expensive, and harder to support, making it difficult to produce audit reports on time. Vodafone evaluated alternatives with Kafein Technology Solutions and chose OpenText Database Activity Monitoring.

OpenText implemented the solution across more than 4,000 databases on 850 servers, including Hadoop, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, MongoDB, and others. The result was a major improvement in compliance and security operations: average archive retrieval time dropped from 10 days to 3 days, helping Vodafone avoid non-compliance penalties, while total cost of ownership was reduced by over 50%.
