Fat Ox, an independent modern Italian restaurant in Scottsdale, Arizona, needed a way to fill tables and encourage repeat visits despite limited foot traffic and a changing market. The restaurant turned to OpenTable Pro, using its guest relationship management and marketing tools to better understand diners and personalize the experience.

With OpenTable, Fat Ox used targeted email campaigns, guest notes, auto-tags, benchmarking, and Experiences to drive demand and create more tailored service. A “We miss you” campaign reached 3,000 past guests and generated about 220 bookings, while a holiday email to 900 guests brought in around 100 reservations for an 11% conversion rate. OpenTable also helped Fat Ox identify VIPs before service, unlock new revenue streams, and consistently outperform local market averages.
